WW1 British Hampshire Regiment Cap Badge
A good original First World War cap badge to the Hampshire Regiment, nicely struck and displaying the regiment’s classic design: the royal tiger within a laurel wreath, surmounted by a Tudor crown and the scroll “HAMPSHIRE” beneath. This is the pattern worn by soldiers of the regiment throughout the Great War, including those who served on the Western Front, Gallipoli, Mesopotamia and in other key theatres.
The badge retains strong detail with a pleasing age patina, and is fitted with its correct slider to the reverse, typical of WW1-period manufacture.
