Memorial Plaque - DAVID HUTCHINSON

Memorial plaque has a small neat hole drilled in the top. Also note the extra 'N' in the surname. Some records do have his surname spelled like this.

Born Northwich, Cheshire

Son of Alexander Hutchison, post master from Dunfermline who also worked in Northwich and Forres

Living at Fearn Villa, Forres at time of enlistment

5th Bn. (Sutherland & Caithness) Seaforth Highlanders T.F.

51st Highland Division

Wounded and Prisoner of War - 14th April 1918 La Bassee. "B" Coy. 5th Seaforths suffered lots of casualties that day

Died of Wounds Munster, Germany - 8th September 1918, aged 19

Buried Hamburg Cemetery, Germany

Remembered on the family grave, Dunfermline
